Search for Fantasy Football Blinds Redknapp

The January transfer window is the perfect time for any club to sign much needed players, especially in positions where there are a lot of injuries. Tottenham last week lost King, Kaboul and Dawson to injury, leaving the team from North London with only one match fit central defender in Sebastian Bassong. This meant that Redknapp had ample time (6 days) to find an experienced defender for the short term he needed until his main center backs return to full fitness.

Instead, Harry opted to chase strikers Rossi, Aguero and Forlan, despite the fact that he has 5 strikers in the team already. His search for Fantasy line ups has distracted him from the reality that he does not have cover for his injury plagued defense.

Spurs take on Blackburn Rovers away from home tonight, and the team from Lancashire are not shy in front of goal at Ewood Park. If Tottenham lose by another heavy score like the 4-0 against Fulham at the weekend, then serious questions would have to be raised at the transfer policy of Harry Redknapp.

  1. I totally agree Jassim. They got one of the best lineups in the Premier League. in my opinion, they just need a center back (one who can cover for King) and a right back to be a perfect team

  2. I think they have two established, international right backs in Corlucka and Hutton, but a center back is deperately needed for them to compete in all competitions.

  3. But they need a great side back. one who can run defenders over like Alves or Maicon. (that's just my opinion)
